Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour

Jungle Safari

Description

Overview:

Chitwan National Park, located in the Terai region of Nepal, is one of the most popular destinations for jungle safaris in Asia. The park was established in 1973 and was granted the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. Chitwan National Park is known for its rich biodiversity, including various species of flora and fauna.

Located in the Terai (plains) region of Nepal and safeguarded by the 932 sq. km. Chitwan National Park, the Chitwan Jungle Tour 1 Night allows you to experience the last surviving virgin woods that once blanketed the Indian subcontinent. With a qualified naturalist, you may explore the animals on an elephant's back during the one-night Chitwan Jungle Tour. You can also learn about the local way of life by taking a tour of Tharu Village and participating in a cultural program before returning to your original location. A brief safari in Glimpses of Chitwan is ideal for people with limited time for vacation.

Major Highlights:

  1. Wildlife watching : Chitwan National Park features a diverse array of wildlife, including endangered rhinoceros, tigers, elephants, sloth bears, deer, monkeys, and bird species, offering thrilling jungle safaris for visitors.
  2. Elephant Safari : Elephant safaris are a popular form of park exploration. Visitors are transported through the forest by trained elephants, offering an uncommon and high viewing point for spotting animals.
  3. Jeep Safari : For anyone who would rather explore the park on four wheels, Jeep safaris are also offered. When compared to elephant safaris, jeep safaris are usually more spacious and comfortable.
  4. Canoeing : There are several rivers that cross through Chitwan National Park, and canoeing offers a chance to see birds and aquatic life. One particularly popular river for canoeing is the Rapti River.
  5. Bird watching : For those who enjoy birds, the park is a paradise. Chitwan is a birdwatcher's dream, home to over 500 kinds of birds, including kingfishers, herons, egrets, and endangered species like the Bengal florican.
  6. Tharu cultural experience :  The area around Chitwan National Park is home to the native Tharu people. By taking part in traditional dance performances, touring Tharu villages, and learning about their way of life, visitors may get a unique understanding of the culture of the Tharu people.
